Not Disappointed

Wallowing nearly had me

I'm not going to lie, I nearly gave into wallowing when we ended up in the hospital yesterday! (Timothy says I was wallowing! ) I told a friend last night that I was done - done with the pandemic and done with cancer!

But thankfully after a negative Covid test, a beautiful sunset and a silly Snapchat conversation my mood shifted and I remembered that even in the middle of the worry and frustration, there's much to be thankful for!

Today I'm thankful for people praying, Timothy feeling better, a breakfast delivery, joining in with staff prayers, Ross holding the fort at home, great staff in haematology, our brilliant consultant and BMT nurse, a trip to M&S, lots of whatsapp messages, offers of food, dominoes pizza night on the ward, a visit from a friend, a video call with Ross, moving rooms, an evening stroll in the hospital grounds (who knew there was so much beauty to be found in the hospital grounds?), and Timothy being in his late night funny hour and being as irritating as he could possibly be (he told me to say that!).

Wallowing nearly had me but there's no doubt that being thankful is better by far!
