Sunny July Birthday

I celebrated my birthday recently. We got to spend the day together as a family in a beautiful place (thanks to a lovely nurse who brought chemo to our campsite!).

I told my boys that I’m glad my birthday is in July but there have been times when I wasn’t! A July birthday as a child meant missing out on parties with school friends and, as I got older, missing out on cake or birthday lunches with colleagues because everyone was on holiday. Now it often means being on holidays with my wee family. We’ve had some great family adventures on my birthday and this birthday did not disappoint! I’m so thankful for my (often sunny) July birthday.
